Trilliums are ideal plants for shady places, especially amongst deciduous trees. They like cool, moist growing conditions with good drainage and plenty of leaf mould and will grow well in a peat bed. They need time to settle so once planted they are best left undisturbed and will gradually build up into large clumps.
