Lilies will naturalise well in all garden conditions as long as they do not become waterlogged. In wetter soils add a handful of grit to the hole before planting the bulb to provide that extra drainage. Remember to protect the young shoots from slug and pest damage. Like all bulbs they will need to be fed with a high phosphate and potash feed during the flower and leaf stage to ensure they flower in the following years.
They should always be planted in a well drained soil. In heavy soils place a hand full of grit in the hole before planting to help with drainage.
Aspect: Semi shade to full sun
