martagon ‘Claude Shride’ 20/22

Excellent garden plant and a very popular lily. Lilies can be left undisturbed for years and will only need to be moved when they become overcrowded. Plant in well drained soil that has been cultivated to a depth of 20cms if possible plant 10-15cms deep and 10cms apart. They prefer the shadier areas of the garden and at the edges of wooded areas. If planting in heavy soils just add a handful of grit to the hole to help with drainage. Feed when flowering with bonemel or similar.

Tip: Prefer acidic soils.

Aspect: Semi shade to full sun. Happy in the colder parts of the garden.

Soil type: Free draining soils that are humus rich and do not get waterlogged.

Flowering time: June-July.

Height: 3-5ft.
