A wonderful bicoloured asiatic with dramatic dark purple throat with pinkish purple petals. Flowering time: July–August. Height: 90-100cm.
Asiatic lilies are easy to grow and will naturalise well in all garden conditions as long as they do not become waterlogged. In wetter soils add grit to the hole before planting the bulb to provide that extra drainage. Remember to protect the young shoots from slug and pest damage. Feed bulbs with a high phosphate and potash feed during the flower and leaf stage to ensure they flower in the following years. Can be left to naturalise from year to year and as they get older they will produce more flowers per stem.
Soil type: All soils that are free draining.
Best in Semi shade to full sun
