Coming from the Sumatra mountains where he grows in the wild for many decades. Probably brought there from Europe or Africa. Synonym ‘Gunung Gedeh’ ( mountain on Sumatra) registered in 1999 by A.P.J. de Ridder. A strong selection from the stock. Since a few years brought under the name Fiona the wife of Mark van Winsen. The best variety in the garden to let it grow for years. It is clear now it is a botanic Gladiolus.
