This variety of crocus features deep sky blue blooms, reaching heights of 12-15 cm and flowering from September to October.

The speciosus group begins blooming in early autumn and thrives in sunny, well-drained soil conditions. C. speciosus is particularly suited for naturalizing in grassy areas.
