Bulbocodium vernum

Related to Colchicums but flowering in the Spring, this unusual bulb produces attractive lilac-rose flowers.

Flowering time: March-April.

Height: 2-3″ (6-9cm). Most useful bulb of this family for naturalising in an open sunny spot.
